Maria Zoi "Va!laisser couler mes larmes" (J.Massenet, Werther)

Il mezzosoprano greco Maria Zoi è nata ad Atene nel 1986. Il suo talento vocale è stato scoperto all'età di 15 anni dal famoso compositore greco Mikis Theodorakis. Sin dall'infanzia ha ricevuto un'educazione musicale con lo studio del pianoforte. Ha studiato canto classico all' Akropolis Conservatory & Center of Arts di Atene con il famoso tenore greco Zachos Terzakis diplomandosi col massimo dei voti. Ha proseguito gli studi alla Hochschule für Musik & Theater di Monaco di Baviera. Attualmente studia con la KS Jeanne Piland.

Ha cantato in diversi Teatri e sale da concerto d'europa: National Opera di Atene, Herodion Ancient Theater di Atene, Athens Concert Hall/Megaron, Royal Theater diThessaloniki, Pallas Theater di Atene, Carl-Orff Saal Gasteig Munich, Katharinensaal Nuremberg, Large Auditorium della LMU University di Monaco, Vienna Townhall, Grand Casino Baden bei Wien, Ephesus Ancient Theater – Turchia. Maria Zoi ha collaborato con le maggiori orchestre greche: State Orchestra of Thessaloniki (G.F. Handel "The Messiah"), City of Athens Symphony Orchestra, City of Thessaloniki Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of Colors ed anche con la Kammerochester Orpheus Wien. Il suo debutto operistico è avvenuto nel 2015 presso la Greek National Opera in “Macbeth” e come Flora in “Traviata”.

Il suo repertorio va da Mozart (Cherubino, Dorabella, Sesto) and Rossini (Isabella, Angelina, Rosina, Tancredi) ai ruoli lirici del repertorio francesce come Charlotte, Carme, Siebel.

Nel giugno 2018 sarà cover del ruolo di Orfeo in "Orfeo ed Euridice" di Gluck presso l'Opera Teatro di Saint Louis (USA)

The Greek mezzo soprano Maria Zoi, was born in Athens Greece in 1986. Her natural vocal talent was soon to be revealed at the age of fifteen, by the famous Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis. Since her early childhood, she received musical education in Piano and Music Theory. She studied Classical Singing at the Akropolis Conservatory & Center of Arts in Athens, under the acclaimed Greek tenor Zachos Terzakis and received her Diploma with Top Honors. Pursuing the further refinement of her vocal skills, she studied in the post-graduate program “Meisterklasse Gesang”, at the Hochschule für Musik & Theater München. She is currently under the guidance KS Jeanne Piland.
Equipped with a significant stage experience, she has performed in several theatres and concert halls in Europe: National Opera of Athens, Herodion Ancient Theater of Athens, Athens Concert Hall/Megaron, Royal Theater of Thessaloniki, Pallas Theater Athens, Carl-Orff Saal Gasteig Munich, Katharinensaal Nuremberg, Large Auditorium of the LMU University Munich, Vienna Townhall, Grand Casino Baden am Wien, Ephesus Ancient Theater – Turkey..
Maria Zoi has cooperated with most of the Greek Symphony Orchestras: State Orchestra of Thessaloniki (G.F. Handel "The Messiah"), City of Athens Symphony Orchestra (Modern Cantata "Ode to Oppenheimer" in world premiere), City of Thessaloniki Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of Colors & the Kammerochester Orpheus Wien.
She made her operatic debut at the Greek National Opera in 2015, as Waiting Lady in “Macbeth” and as Flora Bervoix in “La Traviata”.
Her repertoire expands from Mozart (Cherubino, Dorabella, Sesto) and the Rossini coloratura (Isabella, Angelina, Rosina, Tancredi), to the lyrical French roles such as Charlotte, Carmen, Siebel.

In June 2018 she will be cover of the role of Orfeo in "Orfeo ed Euridice" by Gluck.
